Bible Verse: Matthew 23 : 37 ” Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.”
Prayer: God in community, holy in one, you who are mother and father of us all, you wrap us up in your steadfast love. We celebrate the gift of motherhood, often mothers have nurtured us with their own bodies and they are creators of our wellbeing. We rejoice in their resilience, strength and patience and for their example of continuing love. May we all learn from and practice the gifts of motherhood.
